Stella Brae Schlegel

Owner, Personal Chef

Born and raised in the lush Pacific Northwest, Stella developed a love and appreciation for food at a young age. As a kid, she would spend the long summer days wandering barefoot through her mom’s garden, eating berries straight from the bush and climbing trees to reach the best figs. As she got older, cooking became her favorite hobby, and through experimentation and play, a passion was born!

Stella studied nutrition and food sociology at Portland State University, working in organic kitchens and farmers' markets along the way. These experiences deepened her belief that food is a universal language, and sharing it is her greatest joy. After college, Stella discovered the personal chef industry and quickly fell in love with helping people eat healthier and connect with their food. In 2023, she moved to North Carolina to pursue her dream of starting her own business.

Stella is passionate about nourishing busy lives by incorporating high quality, seasonal ingredients into every made-from-scratch dish. She has found healing in foods that are highly nutrient dense, incorporating a nose-to-tail approach when using animal products and utilizing local and traditional ingredients as much as possible. When she’s not cooking, Stella can be found sharing laughter with friends, reading a mystery novel, digging in her garden, hiking with her fiancé, making art, or playing with her crazy german shepherd.
